Trading volume

How much is traded - and how easily it is faked with wash trading.

What it means

Trading volume is the total value of a token traded over a period, usually 24 hours. It is used as a proxy for interest and demand: more volume is supposed to mean more real activity and easier entry and exit.

Why it matters for scams

Volume is one of the easiest metrics to fake. Wash trading - the same actor buying and selling to themselves across wallets - inflates volume to fabricate hype and game listing rankings. A token with huge volume but a handful of addresses and a tiny pool is almost always manufactured demand, not real buyers.

How RektRadar helps

RektRadar cross-checks volume against the number of distinct traders, the age of the wallets, and the pool size. Volume that comes from a closed loop of related wallets is treated as a manipulation signal, not as healthy demand.
